GET TO KNOW US : Up close and personal with Dr. Pavithra Rajan, Head of Risachi - Colorss Research Division

Up close and personal with Dr. Pavithra Rajan, Head of Risachi -  Colorss Research Division

A research fellow by profession but a physiotherapist and Business English teacher in her free time, Dr. Pavithra Rajan has proved that it is possible to master more than one skill! With her expertise, Dr. Pavithra has put her knowledge to good use by contributing to Colorss Foundation for the past three years.

Join us as we find out how Dr. Pavithra Rajan brings positive changes to Colorss Foundation!

Who is your inspirational role model? Both personally and professionally, my mother.

When I’m not volunteering, I’m a Fellow at Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute in Calgary, Canada. I work as a freelance clinical cum research physiotherapist and also teach Business English.

I have been volunteering with Colorss for three years, since 2012.

I use my skills at Colorss Foundation by contributing to the Risachi project.

Why did you volunteer at Colorss Foundation? Colorss Foundation has an ambitious mission and I believe, is a great platform to volunteer at. At Colorss, I am given the necessary assistance and freedom to implement projects. I am glad to have been part of Colorss for three years now.

A typical day for me at Colorss Foundation would be to head the Research Division. I coordinate research activities for Colorss so 90 percent of my work is online, but a typical day of work for me would also involve constant chats with the Founder, Anand. I also do lots of writing, researching and executing field projects.

I like volunteering at Colorss Foundation because of the flexibility and freedom to try out new ideas. I also like the friendly environment at Colorss and the unconditional support from Anand and the Foundation.

At Colorss Foundation, I have learned that little drops of water make the mighty ocean! At Colorss, constant little efforts are put in every single day to bring novel changes to society.

Some research papers that Dr. Pavithra helped produce for Risachi study economicdevelopment and musculoskeletal health in Pune and in general, India.
