40 girls in Martial Art training with a blend of creative arts

Mahadji Shinde High School one of the schools located in Pune Cantonment Board at Wanorie. 

 

40 children forms the first batch for Project Enhance... Martial arts with creative arts for these girls who would be in training..

 

Project Enhance has 40 girls who would be in under martial art training along with creative arts. Focus would be on self-defense, physical and psychological health. Priority would me zeroed on the education; the curriculum of this project would be designed after needs assessments of the children.

 

The girls have been selected from 5th grade to 7th grade. Along with martial art training, personality development, creative arts, discipline and other attributes would be focused.

 

Initially we had decided 30 girls however few of them were super eager to join us. Looking at the eagerness and self-motivation we decided to include 10 girls more. These girls come from poor families staying in nearby slums.  A lot of problems were discussed by the school authorities. A detailed assessments needs to be done to identify the psychological needs.
