Colorss Foundation Celebrates India’s 69th Independence Day

Colorss Foundation Celebrates India’s 69th Independence Day

On the 15th of August 2015, around 480 students and teachers of the Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Technical High School, PCB, along with the Colorss Foundation team, excitedly congregated in the school’s assembly area. Everyone in India, including Colorss Foundation, was celebrating India’s journey as an independent state. Anticipated murmurs filled the air as the school looked forward to the event-packed celebration ahead.

The day began with the hoisting of the national flag of India, which was proudly accompanied with the singing of India’s national anthem. Next, a group of impressively adroit boys performed a series of impressive gymnastic formations.

Music then filled the air as the school’s orchestra band took centre stage and belted out some parade music.

Girls also took part in the celebration by performing beautiful renditions of cultural songs such as the welcome song swagatam-suswagatam and hamara pyara Hindustan, a song about India. The entire celebration ended with the distribution of delicious sweets, which everyone enjoyed.
