For a reason; for love; for humanity; for YOU - Colorss

Forcing people to be generous isn’t humanitarian, effective, compassionate or moral. Only acts that are truly voluntary for all concerned can be truly compassionate.

Colorss Foundation is not a hell-raiser, it is a humanitarian being who has sympathy for mankind in the lump, faith in its future progress, and desire to serve the great cause of this progress, should be called not a humanist, but a humanitarian, and his creed may be designated as humanitarianism. The very only upward mobility of humanity is philanthropic. It is based in Pune, Baroda and Ajmer.

“If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.
If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation you are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.
If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.”

The Journey of Colorss.... thank you for your support!
Colorss Foundation has been setting an example for the humanity by putting love into giving. No one has ever become poor by giving and as Martin Luther King Jr. has stated, “Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness.” Click on this link to read more.....http://www.thepunekar.com/2013/08/15/colorss-for-a-cause/

Volunteering at Colorss

Volunteers are the constant support to Colorss. But, what exactly are the volunteers doing? How are they doing it? and why are they doing it! These are all those infinite questions that many people think about or ask.  Well,  it's better that we hear the volunteers sharing their experiences! It gives more clarity to the subject 'volunteering' and the 'content' of joy felt by them.

This video would also help all those new volunteers/interns who are planning to support Colorss. Watch this video wherein our volunteers are sharing themselves.  As Colorss continues to make great strides on the social front, let’s take a vow to contribute in whatsoever manner possible to reach out to people in our communities and societies to enhance, empower and energize them.

"If you want love or if you want to give back love”, then you are all set to join the social bandwagon!

We are always there to answer your questions – we are here to make things simple.  Are you joining us! Why don’t you share us – it’s also a great volunteering service you can do! Well the choice is absolutely yours!

For Love,
Anand

‘See Green’ - determined to be a fine integration of proposed solutions for some of the critical issues in the society! | Colorss Foundation

Every New Year brings in new opportunities for people, avenues to go by their resolutions and ways to achieve their dream. But, unfortunately some people get lost while looking around for such opportunities or probing for avenues and paths. Here, in Colorss we sincerely make an attempt to intertwine the right people with the right opportunity and further go on to create hope and strength in the people who will then pave way for a healthy society. Synonymous to this, starting this January, Colorss is coming up with a project – ‘See Green’ which is determined to be a fine integration of proposed solutions for some of the critical issues in the society. To give it a personal touch, we are creating an opportunity for each one of ‘you’ reading this to contribute in whatsoever manner possible to light hope and give strength to empower someone out there to stand up and live their life themselves. Read on to understand more about See Green.

The Objectives of the Project:

1.     Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: We are appealing to educational institutions, organizations and individuals to donate old clothes. Thus bringing in, the ideas of 3R’s – Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.
2.     Production of Hand Stitched Bags: The collected old clothes will be distributed among women in rural and underprivileged households of Vadodara, who will then produce hand stitched bags made of these old clothes.
3.     Empowering Women: These bags would later be sold for a nominal price to interested vendors in and around Vadodara. The income earned would be given to the women, thus empowering them and improving their financial stability.
4.     Plastic Free: By encouraging people to use cloth bags, we will be contributing our share to building an eco-friendly environment, free of plastic.

What can you do?

1.     If you are in Vadodara, then do take a casual drive to drop by your old clothes.
2.     For schools, we have a collection drive that has been planned and the respective schools are expected to intimate the same to the students.
3.     If you are not around but still would like to contribute, then do spread the word about this project on twitter @colorss or alternately on G+.
4.     You can go a step ahead to encourage volunteers and like-minded people in your neighborhood to come up with an initiative as this one.
5.     Choose to fund for this project by being a sponsor.

A little action can make wonders. It will lead to mutual satisfaction and happiness and will give a new social meaning to your life. As Stephen Covey rightly said, ‘Life is just not about accumulation, it is also about contribution’. Act now.

As an intern to Colorss, Mr. Aditya Gupta a Doon School Alumnus who had been working on his idea 'See Green' is now a reality.

For Love, Founder Anand Koti

If you pay attention, you will see that you are just beginning your life. You can study, you can work – you can do everything you want to build your future. Doesn’t this moment look like the perfect one to start making a difference in the world?

Reducing the number of school drop outs, brightening children’s lives with martial and creative arts, and teaching skills to poor women: some actions have a great potential of change. This is what Colorss Foundation believes in. This is what we do: use knowledge to transmit knowledge. And, this way, find better possibilities to people’s lives.

By developing programs to improve disadvantaged groups’ lives, Colorss Foundation is doing its part. If you want to, you can do yours. By volunteering, you can begin your journey in a great manner. And you do not just help: volunteering is a mutual relationship. You, for sure, are going to get a better person and learn new things.

Project Enhance: Blending Karate with creative arts to make an impact at psychological and physiological level

The biggest forte of our Project Enhance is that it is the brainchild of Mr. Anand Koti, founder of Colorss Foundation himself. No doubt Mr. Koti is personally involved in every initiative Colorss Foundation takes, but he is personally at the helm of affairs for Project Enhance because of the nature of the project and Mr. Koti’s experience in the field.

What is Project Enhance?

Project Enhance is an unusual blend of martial and creative arts. In India the children belonging to the underprivileged sector already have to face countless hardships during their lives. Stress is a constant in their lives and this is particularly prominent in the case of female children who have to face many social stigmas in addition. They are often not given the place they deserve in society and their progress is not only hindered due to financial reasons but also due to many social taboos. This is bound to create mental pressure and strain for these female children. Project Enhance focuses on this chunk of the population in particular. With its unique programme of sports and arts it seeks to eradicate the mental pressure and strain that these young, underprivileged girls have to endure. Not only mental strain but these young girls usually have to undergo through a sense of low self esteem and inferiority too because their position in society is not very strong and they are many a time manipulated and exploited because of their weak standing. Giving such girls strength and perseverance to withhold these negative forces of society is the aim of Project Enhance. Through Project Enhance we conduct bi-weekly sessions of half an hour duration focusing on martial arts including karate, yoga and other forms of meditation and self-defense exercises in addition to creative art sessions including techniques like drawing, painting, story telling etc. Through this unique combination we at Project Enhance aim to relieve the stress endured by these young and weak members of our society.

If you want to help us in working toward the betterment of our society’s underprivileged members you can send you valued donations to the account details mentioned at the end. In addition to monetary donation you can also send in karate or exercise clothing, drawing materials like coloring books and pencils etc. Or if you want to volunteer for Project Enhance you should be proficient in either of the skills that our project focuses on. Volunteers that have some experience in the martial arts and karate techniques/yoga/dance/sports are welcomed to volunteer for our Project where they can disseminate their knowledge and talent to these young girls.

Also if you think you can conduct productive sessions involving arts and craft, drawing painting, story-telling, personality development etc then please feel free to contact us on the contact numbers given out. We would be more than happy to have you on our team. Together our small steps can make a big difference.
